"Simply look with perceptive eyes at the world about you, and trust to your own
reactions and convictions. Ask yourself: "Does this subject move me to feel, think
and dream? Can I visualize a print - my own personal statement of what I feel and
want to convey - from the subject before me?"

A BRIEF BIOGRAPHY
I became interested in photography as a child, and learned black &
white processing whilst at school. The old b&w photographs on this
site were all processed and enlarged by me.
Unfortunately, as a young man, life rather got in the way and
photography became an expensive hobby, only to be indulged as and
when funds permitted. Nowadays, my work is wholly digital and I do
have the time, and a little money, with which to enjoy being creative.
I am an Associate of the Royal Photographic Society (ARPS) and am
involved with the RPS German Chapter. I have works in the German
chapter's 2009 exhibition "The Art of the Spectator" which has shown
in Dusseldorf and Iserlohn; the exhibition is scheduled to be shown in
my home town of Potsdam next year, with selected works appearing in
the forthcoming RPS book "Portfollio Two".

If I have any talent as a photographer today, then I owe a debt of
thanks to two people:
Firstly, my late brother-in-law Sam, who produced great enlargements
in his spare bedroom using a home-made enlarger and some kitchen
dishes. I often wonder what he could have achieved with my state of
the art equipment.
Secondly, to my wife Gosha. She is a professional artist who
recognised and encouraged my latent skills; from her, I learned about
balance, composition, and colour. She taught me to value my work,
(for if you don't then who will?) and impressed on me her motto -

 "work - just work!"
