I visited Beelitz Heilstätten the other week-end. It is an eerie,
atmospheric site, an abandoned Military Hospital complex in which
Hitler was a patient during WW1., More recently it was used in the
filming of "The Pianist". The Soviets also used the site until well after
the fall of the Wall.
I hope to revisit the site in the better weather to explore properly but
access is becoming more & more difficult.
