Little Boxes
Well, it's that time of year again when the hundreds & hundreds of
digital images taken have to be sorted, worked on, and then
converted in photographs.

I like to be able to print my photographs, and to print to A2 whenever
possible, so only the technically and aesthetically best make the cut. I
wish I was disciplined enough to delete the rest but ..... one day!

The above photograph was taken on a summer camping trip to the
Polish Baltic coast as were these, and the slideshow is clickable for
full-size images.
The autumn was really beautiful here in Germany and I was lucky enough to have a trip to
Saxony, to see Dresden and the Saxony Sandstone Cliffs, then on to Sassnitz and Prerow by
the Baltic.
The European Cranes gather up there, 20 -30,000 birds, to fatten-up before migrating south
for the winter. It's a remarkable sight. I don't really have the kit, or sadly the reflexes
nowadays to capture birds in flight, but it's worth the trip just to see so many birds in the
morning light.

The Sandstone Cliffs are amazing. It is (for me!) a stiff climb but again in the dawn's early
light it is an almost spiritual experience.
